Pregnancy is such a beautiful gift. At Oak City Massage we want to help you as your body goes through all the transitions that come with this time of life. With my certification from Claire Marie Miller's Nurturing the Mother course, I am excited to be a part of this journey during whichever stage you need me.
Prenatal Massage
Your body is going through a lot of changes as your baby grows. It is important to be aware of these changes. Your body is completely transformed to make room for your baby and massage can help you to ease into each transition. There is also a mental and emotional aspect with pregnancy that massage can be a huge help with. Having a baby can impact your life greatly and that is a good thing, massage helps you get out of your head and relax as you start this next exciting chapter in your life.
Postpartum Massage
Massage after birth can actually be more important than massage while you are pregnant! The labor process can be very taxing on a mother. The changes your body go through after birth are much more rapid than during pregnancy and getting massage can be crucial to get you back to your pre-birth body. Diastasis recti (or torn abdominal muscles) is just one of the side effects from pregnancy that massage can help with. It can also be a big help mentally and emotionally as you adjust to life with your baby on the outside.

Pregnancy is such an important time to get massage and we hope these special prices and packages make it easier for you to make massage a part of your prenatal care. As you get into your third trimester a longer massage is recommended (75min-90min), please keep this in mind when scheduling your appointments.
